Announces plans of exciting green conscious designation
ROCHESTER, NY (August 9, 2012) - PathStone has announced its commitment to saving energy and protecting the environment as it seeks the national Green NeighborWorks® Organization designation.
"Sustainability practices and green ideas are becoming more the norm, pushing both non-profit and for-profit business to change their practices," said Stuart Mitchell, President & CEO of PathStone Corporation. "PathStone has been ahead of this curve in making energy-saving improvements in thousands of homes across Western New York, and through the efficient use of company resources. We look forward to achieving this new green designation."
PathStone plans to "Go Green" by setting specific goals around waste reduction and energy savings; it is taking corporate responsibility and its environmental impact to a new level. Over the next few months, PathStone will be submitting all the required documentation to achieve the Green NeighborWorks Organization designation and looks forward to sharing its experience and encouraging other non-profits to emulate PathStone's efforts to "Go Green".

Not only is it important to incorporate green practices in everyday service delivery, but NeighborWorks hopes to see organizations incorporating sustainability into day-to-day practices to maximize the financial, social and environmental benefits that greening can bring.
